Cytat Café: A Cozy Bookstore Café in Old Kraków’s Jewish Quarter
When I was mapping out my solo day in Kraków, I decided to start in its Old Jewish Quarter, also known as Kazmierz. Naturally, a sightseeing day has to start with breakfast and when I stumbled across Cytat Café, I knew I found the perfect spot.
I’m such a sucker for bookstore cafes (and bookstores in general) especially when they feel like places you want to come and hang out for a while. Cytat was designed to have that cozy, living room feel with all sorts of little nooks. Most importantly — lots of comfortable seating. If I remember correctly, they also had board games!
I looked it up later and “Cytat” means “quote” in Polish which makes sense because they gave me a little Oscar Wilde quote with my breakfast. Such a cute spot! I highly recommend getting the Polish breakfast and some coffee.
