The Trendy Stylenanda Pink Hotel + Pink Pool Cafe in Seoul

The Stylenanda Pink Pool Cafe and Pink Hotel have to be some of the trendiest cafes to pop up recently in Seoul. Here’s what to expect and how to visit!

Because I’ve visited Seoul so many times over the years, I always try to look for anything fun and new when I plan another visit. One of my weekends up there, I just wanted to visit as many cute and trendy cafes as I could!

After visiting Zapangi in Mangwon in the morning, I decided to make my way to Stylenanda’s cute cafe. Turns out, there are actually two cafes, one in Hongdae and one in Myeongdong. I learned this the hard way.

First, I went all the way to Myeongdong, and while I recognized some of the café scenes from photos, I knew there was way more to it. I had an image of pink velvet chairs in a pink room, and I was super confused as to why I didn’t see them. It took some searching, but I realized that the bigger cafe was in Hongdae, aka only one stop over from Mangwon.

I wound up visiting both, so you’re welcome for my mistake, and I hope you don’t wind up mixing them up too! I’ll go into both of them below. First, though:

What is Stylenanda?

Stylenanda is actually a fashion and beauty brand that was founded in 2004. I could never fit into Korean clothing brands, so I’ve never paid it much mind until now. It’s definitely a young, trendy brand, and whoever is in charge of their store’s decor deserves all the praise (unlike whoever was in charge of this campaign). The cafes were a 2016 addition to their two main flagship stores in Seoul.

Anyhow my first stop:

Stylenanda Pink Hotel

So, the whole theme of this store is a hotel, and it includes six fairly narrow floors. The fifth level is the Pink Pool Cafe and the sixth floor is an outdoor pillow/lounge setting. Because it had rained the day before, that floor was closed when I went.

The pool cafe is such a cute concept from the “pool rules” to the umbrellas and photos. I think here I just got a milkshake and walked around a bit. The drinks and food are, obviously, overpriced, but that’s a trendy cafe for you!

The other floors of the hotel are really fun too! I didn’t take many pictures, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth popping in to see. I wouldn’t necessarily travel to Myeongdong just to visit the Pink Hotel, but I wouldn’t skip it if I walked by either.

Stylenanda Pink Pool Cafe

If you wanted to choose between the two, I’d 100% choose the Pink Pool Cafe at the Stylenanda store in Hongdae. I mean the decor reminds me of a certain London cafe that took Pinterest by storm

But there’s definitely more space to sit and relax vs. the Pink Hotel one. I managed to find myself there early afternoon on a Sunday, so it was pretty busy. It was mostly women, so it was kind of a fun vibe with everyone out with their gal pals, taking photos, and eating sweets.

Besides the pink part, there’s the actual pool part. Unfortunately, you probably can’t dip your toes in.

All in all, a super fun, trendy day where I spent way too much on sugary goods!

Definitely grab a friend and hang out at one of these fun cafes. I once traveled 2 hours to hang out in a teapot, so you guys know how much I love somewhere pretty and unique!
