25 Unique Jeju Airbnbs You’ve Got to Book
2024 Update: Please note this post is a few years old and it looks like a few Airbnbs are no longer listed! Please check this post on where to stay in Jeju for more up to date information and accommodation recommendations.
Looking for a unique stay in one of Korea’s most unique places? Here are some very cute Jeju Airbnb stays you’ve got to book for your next trip!
Jeju is forever on my mind. It’s by far my favorite place in Korea, and I always want to go back. In fact, before this whole 2020 nonsense, part of my rough plans for Korea was to rent a place for a month and just enjoy the island!
That plan will happen some day, but in the mean time I’m living vicariously through different Korean instagrammers and making a wishlist on Airbnb.
Jeju is like an island paradise for Korean artist and hipsters, so I always find the best Airbnbs are here where there’s a lot of space and emphasis on being environmentally friendly. You’ll find a lot of owners are also creatives, whether as architects, artists, or photographers, which I think makes a huge different in accommodation space. It means my wishlist is forever growing, so I thought I’d share it with you guys for your own trip.
Make sure to rent a car (pretty much none of these are convenient by public transport) and get ready to enjoy the lesser known areas of Jeju!
25 Unique Airbnbs to Book in Jeju
1. Romantopia
- Location: Southeast Jeju
Ahhh, by far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! Buried in Jeju’s southeast area, Romantopia is made up of three houses. The one belongs to the family that owns everything and the other two are what they rent out. They used to live on the mainland but moved to Jeju for a slower pace of life, and their homes are made completely eco-friendly. You definitely need a car to get here as it’s not near anything, but it’s so charming and lovely, you’ve got to stay at least once!
2. Slow Mansion
- Location: Northeast Jeju
I stayed here on my third trip to Jeju when I wanted somewhere near the port for Udo Island. While the actual rooms are lovely, its best feature is the beach right across the road. Because it’s in such a remote area (the closest bus stop is like a 15 to 20 minute walk), no one is ever there. It really does feel like you have your own private beach with one of the best views of Seongsang Ilchulbong in the distance!
It’s also next to the secondary port for Udo, so you can just walk over to get the ferry over.
3. Playce Camp
- Location: Northeast Jeju
I stayed at Playce Camp on my fourth trip to Jeju when I was browsing for Airbnbs near Seongsan Ilchulbong. It’s such a trendy little place! The rooms are all cement and very hipster with a lot of different things going on in the “camp.” Different restaurants, photo spots, and probably more I didn’t really explore. It’s also super close to Seongsang Ilchulbong.
4. ZeZuZip Lemon
- Location: Southeast Jeju
Lucky you if you manage to get this place during cherry blossom season! Built by a married couple, the exterior looks a bit like a wooden warehouse while the inside is painted this sunny yellow color! Lots of cozy finishes and I love that they took 제주집 (Jeju House) and stylized it as ZeZuZip. Their terrace also overlooks a sunflower field if you’re here in the summer, and according to them, it’s about 5 minutes by bike to the ocean
5. Little White Retreat
- Location: Southwest Jeju
If you’re looking for a unique escape into the forest, then this place looks perfect. Each unit is quite private with a really open, airy design concept (the owner’s bio just says architect, so I’m assuming he’s behind everything). From the reviews it sounds pretty remote, so I’d stock up on some groceries before you get settled in as there also looks to be a full kitchen. It’s also near Olleh Trail 8, so you can easily go for a walk or run.
6. Sanchek House
- Location: Northwest Jeju
Right at the end of Olleh Trail 15 and the start of Olleh Trail 16, this place has an open interior with sea and lighthouse views. There’s also a cafe on the first floor, but, of course, the fun part are the red bean bag chairs you can sit in to enjoy the landscape.
7. Aewol Ocean View Pension
- Location: Northwest Jeju (near Jeju City & Airport)
This Airbnb wins for the best view! Just look at that sea. It also has a really nice kitchen, so I’d bring some groceries to make food here and just enjoy the scenery.
8. The Mustache House
- Location: Northwest Jeju
Such a fun place with lots of mustache-themed decor! Instead of a TV, its owner, Penny, added a piano and guitar for entertainment. It’s a very cute spot if you want to be closer to Hyeopjae.
9. Naezip House
- Location: Seogwipo
This is a good pick if you’re traveling with a larger group as it can comfortably hold up to 8 people an has 3 bedrooms. Since it’s in Seogwipo, it’s in the perfect spot for doing a lot of sightseeing. There’s also a nice rooftop area if you’re visiting in warmer weather!
10. Flower God Treehouse
- Location: East Jeju
This super cute treehouse with its pretty garden looks like every cottagecore trend lover’s dream. It’s quite secluded, even for Jeju, so you’ll need a car to get around.
11. Vintage Airstream
- Location: Southwest Jeju (more West than SW), inland
This one kind of feels like it should be somewhere in the US Southwest or SoCal! A very modern hippie interior and, of course, the iconic metal airstream exterior, this is such a pretty spot to stay.
12. Domgeurami Pension
- Location: Southeast Jeju, inland
This quirky little pension is made up of a few dome-like houses made of Jeju volcanic stone with their own patios and picnic benches. According to one review there’s a very friendly wild cat who hangs out in the area!
13. Handong Escape
- Location: Northwest Jeju
Love how sleek and modern this Airbnb is. Highlight definitely has to be the bathtub with a view over the surrounding fields. It’s definitely more for a quiet escape than a base for exploring, and, random, but they even can help with a small wedding!
14. Jungsstory Dome
- Location: Southeast Jeju (close to Seogwipo)
What a funky little house! This dome house is owned by a couple, Lina and Jung, and is actually really nice for families with kids. The interior is white and spacious with a playroom and a patio for BBQing.
15. Olleh Windmill Pension
- Location: Southwest Jeju on the coast
Okay now this might be the most unique Jeju Airbnb out there. Ever thought about staying in a windmill? I mean, what do I really need to say? This cute windmill pension is about 10 to 15 minutes from Seogwipo and looks fairly close to a lot of the big SW Jeju places like Sangbangsan, the Yongmeori Coast, and more!
16. Dallabong House
- Location: Northeast Jeju but inland
A dog-friendly stay! While the interiors are pretty simple with both a bedroom and living room as well as a bathroom, the real highlight is all the room there is around Dallabong House as it’s set in a huge, green courtyard. Another good spot for Northeast Jeju as well as Hallasan.
17. Aewol Romantic Getaway
- Location: Northwest Jeju, inland, slightly closer to Jeju City
Considering its other name is “Heaven’s Door,” this cozy cottage is definitely perfect for a romantic getaway! Bookmarked for if I ever get a boyfriend lol. With its brick exterior surrounded by trees, it really doesn’t feel like Korea! The interior is cute with lots of nice touches and big windows to let in lots of natural light. The owner, has lived in Jeju for over a decade and will be on the property as well.
18. Stay Ahha
- Location: Northwest Jeju
For something a little fancy, check out Stay Ahha with this nice pool situation! Rooms have that nice, white, minimalistic design with views over fields. Good spot to base yourself for this area.
19. Handal Cottage
- Location: Southeast Jeju
Surrounded by a tangerine field, this cottage almost looks like a hideaway! It’s a pretty simple, open space inside and good if you want a quiet trip. Closest shops are about a 5 minute drive and closest beach is Pyoseon. It’s actually super inexpensive and they offer monthly discounts. Whenever I embrace the eccentric writer side to my personality, this is where you can find me!
20. Jungwon Tree House
- Location: Northwest Jeju (but closer to Jeju City)
Ahhh, this is such a pretty place! The interior is also a wood design but is made much cozier with retro touches and softer design. Also sounds like you might run into a very cute cat and her son during your stay!
21. Log Park House
- Location: Northwest Jeju (more inland)
Located within a forest, this is definitely one of the places you’ll want if you want a bit of a vacation. The interior is a very simple wood design. It’s dog-friendly and there’s, randomly, an alpaca ranch on the property!
22. Jeju Igloo
- Location: Northeast Jeju
I told you I was looking for unique stays in Jeju! These igloo stays are very simple and obviously fairly small, so you’re definitely staying for the interesting exterior. It looks like a good location if you want to explore more of Northeast Jeju closer to Jeju City, like Hamdeok Beach, Bijarim Forest, Manjanggul Cave, etc.
23. Bongseong House: Gülümsemek
- Location: Northwest Jeju
This super cute house is in Bongseong-ri and is a remodeled stone house with super feminine interior decor and at least one kitty that seems to roam around! Its name comes from the Turkish word for smile, which is so charming!
24. Small Wind Hill Caravan
- Location: Southeast Jeju (closer to Seogwipo)
Looking for a bit of a camping experience? Why not one of these cute caravans? There are two caravans in the owners’ yard and both are full with your normal amenities. This looks like an especially fun spot for families with younger kids!
25. Traditional Stone House
- Location: Northeast Jeju (similar area as Slow Mansion)
Very cute stone cottage surrounded by a pretty garden. The owner studied in Paris and worked in Seoul before coming to Jeju and becoming an artisan farmer. The cottage looks cozy, and I feel like as far as Korea goes, this as close you get to whimsical countryside. Also I spy some cat pics in the listing, so I’m hoping you get to meet some cute kitties during your stay!
And there you have it! All the places I’ve been dreaming of staying. Have you stayed any cute Airbnbs in Jeju?

It looks so great ! Thanks for sharing all those places! Really useful
I’m glad!
Hi I can’t seem to get the airbnb that you recommended.
The Book Here icon doesn’t work.
How else can I find the airbnbs you recommended?
Very interested in two of them.
The Sanchek House and the Aewol ocean view pension.
Bummer – it looks like both are no longer on Airbnb! I tried finding them elsewhere but I don’t see them listed.
