Find of the Week: Pink T-Shirt from Everlane’s 100% Human Collection

I know, I know another T-shirt! I think it’s just the casual nature of summer lately that makes me want to buy a bunch of cute graphic T-shirts. I promise this is the last one for a while! But I just need to share them because I absolutely LOVE Everlane and the message they’re sending with these shirts and sweatshirts.

The Company

I remember first seeing a Facebook ad for Everlane’s T-shirt back when I just graduated college. Their whole business model is about transparency. The goods are high quality for a more reasonable price than competitors. They thoroughly vet their factories to the point that you can see exactly which ones they use for yourself, and they’re very upfront about costs and what goes into deciding a product’s final price.

Seriously, if you really want to you, you can question them to death about every detail of production, and they’ll answer it all.

Had way too much fun playing around with this! If you hover + click, it’ll take you to the item’s home page. Just thought I’d throw together a cute outfit idea for the T-shirt and work on my Photoshopping skills…

The Product

They introduced the 100% Human Collection around January this year. The basic message is this: no matter who you are, what you believe in, where you come from, or who you love, you. are. 100%. human. For each T-shirt sold, they donate $5 to a certain organization:

  • The black and white one styles go to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
  • The blue and white and gray and yellow styles go to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). There’s also a Rainbow print you’ll see advertised a lot, but it wasn’t on the site when I looked
  • The pink styles go to Equality Now (I have the small print one)

I’m quite certain they have plans for more, so I can’t wait to see what other causes they plan to help. Their real strength lies in their high-quality basics. I still have my tanks, shirts, and backpack from a few years ago.
