Hotel Bohemian Celebration, Kissimmee, Florida

Checking into the Bohemian Hotel Celebration

Hotel Bohemian Celebration, Kissimmee, Florida

What better way to spend the last few days of my trip in one of the prettiest hotels I’ve seen in a while! Here’s my full Bohemian Hotel Celebration review, and why I think it’d make a great place to stay in when you’re visiting the area.

Guys, I know my standards for sleep are pretty much rock bottom. I mean, I slept on a shoddy floor mat for my entire year in Suncheon — towards the end I had it folded in half and was using my winter blanket folded in half for it feel moderately cushioned. After that experience, I can pretty much fall asleep anywhere.

However, I’m so glad I was invited to spend the last few nights of my two months of constant travel in a plush, king-sized bed at the Bohemian. It was easily the most luxurious of my sleeping arrangements!

A Quick Overview of My Experience

I managed to check in a bit early and stayed in one of their guest rooms with a town view for three nights. The receptionist who greeted me was super friendly as were the ones I spoke to later when I forgot my key card in my room not once but twice… *cough*

They’ll even provide you with a map and pamphlet of all the events going on in Celebration!

The room itself was incredible. Often times, I book places that look fantastic in pictures, and I discover I have very little natural light. It’s more of a bummer than you think, and I’ve become especially sensitive to it since, again, my apartment in Suncheon faced a concrete wall.

My room was super well lit with two big doors that led out to a small porch where I could sit in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the view. It was also quite spacious inside with the bed, a desk, a flatscreen TV, a closet, and, of course, the bathroom.

In the bathroom, you have your complimentary coffee maker, and, the best part is that the hotel uses Starbucks and Tazo tea.

I also want to note that the lobby and halls of the hotel are decorated with the most incredible paintings. It was noticeable enough that I mentioned it and was told they’re all a part of the owner, Richard Kessler’s, collection and are actually for sale. I have neither the money or the room for them, but if you do, then just know you can purchase them!

Overall, it was a really lovely stay.

About the Hotel

Who owns the hotel?

The hotel is one of nine hotels under the Kessler Collection, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, both founded by Richard Kessler.

What’s so special about this hotel?

There are a few things!

In terms of design, each Kessler Collection hotel has its own unique theme. In the Bohemian’s case, it’s aim is to incorporate Florida’s nature into its luxurious design. You can really see this in their chandeliers, which are custom-made and full of intricate detail. There’s also an art gallery in the hotel if you want to see more of the art collection.

Another thing that makes it so unique is its location. Its one of the few accommodations in Celebration, and I really don’t see any others with as central a spot. It takes maybe five minutes to get into the town center on foot, and that’s including taking the elevator down from your room!

Also, if you’re visiting Kissimmee and Orlando as an adult, this is a much more relaxing place to stay than one closer to the parks. And by relaxing, I mean I saw one family with kids while I stayed there.

When is check in and check out?

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am.

Is there on-site parking?

Yes. You can do $16/daily for regular parking or $23/daily for valet parking.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, for a $150 non-refundable fee. Contact the hotel in advance, and it’s a max of 2 pets per room.

About the Room

What kind of rooms are available?

You can stay in either a studio, a guest room, or a bedroom suite and choose between a town view or a lake view. Mine was a guest room with a town view:

What’s available in the room?

There was wine and Evian water available for purchase as well as bathrobes and an iron and ironing board in the closet.

How’s the wifi?

The wifi is quite strong and, of course, complimentary! You’ll sign in with your last name and room number.

How often is the room cleaned?

Maids will come daily around midday, but you can put up a sign so they don’t come every day. This is more eco-friendly!

The Bathroom

What amenities come in the bathroom?

Standard amenities — soap, face soap, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels and washcloths. In addition to the giant mirror, there’s a smaller one that magnifies.

The coffee maker is also located by the sink.

How’s the shower?

Excellent, and the water pressure is quite strong. You’ll actually want to angle it a bit towards the wall! I accidentally got water everywhere my first night.

And the bath?

Also lovely! It’s about average depth, so you can soak and relax. Get the bath bombs from the Soap Company in Old Town USA to enjoy!

Dining Options

Is there breakfast available?

For $15, you can get the continental breakfast option and for $20, you can get a full American breakfast.

Is there room service?

Yes! It’s actually pretty reasonable too for a room service menu, and if I hadn’t already had plans for eating out, I would have ordered some for myself!

What onsite dining options are there?

The hotel has its own restaurant called the Lakeside Bar + Grill. Check their full menu here.

Other Amenities

Is there a fitness center?

Yes, and it’s open 24/7. However, the hotel is right on the lake and near a bunch of trails, so you might as well go out and get some fresh air with a run or a walk. Better yet rent a bike! Celebration Bike Rentals is right in Bohemian’s parking lot next door. You can even book a tour to get to know the town more.

Is there a spa?

There are full-service spas nearby. Just call 407-566-6000 to reserve. You can also book in-room services.

Is there a pool?

Yes! A lovely pool that overlooks the lake. It can also be heated and towels are provided.

Can I rent a bigger room for an event?

Yes, they have seven different event or meeting rooms to choose from.

Location

How close is the hotel to Celebration?

As I said above, it’s right in Celebration, and everything is close and walkable. Highly recommend roaming around the Town Center and enjoying the cute storefronts.

How close is the hotel to the theme parks?

It’s about a 10-minute drive to Disney World, 20-minute drive to Universal Orlando, and maybe 5-10 minutes to Fun Spot America’s Kissimmee location. The hotel does offer transportation options, but I just took a Lyft whenever I needed to go anywhere.

How far is from the airport?

It’s about a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. There’s no shuttle service, but you can book a transportation service. Again, Lyft works just fine!

How to Stay

What do you guys think? Have you stayed here before?

for more travel in the usa

The USA is a massive country, and I always love discovering new places to visit. I’m actually pretty sure I’ll still be hearing of new gems when I’m 90 years old and need a wheelchair to get around! Since I’ve been interested in travel, I’ve visited a number of different places in the US alone. Check out some of posts:
